OMG ! We had our first snake on the lanai.  Gotta get the screens checked to find out how it got into the screened area.
Buddy boy noticed it first.......went right over to it.  Me and Matthew cleared out of there real fast!!!!!!!!!!  A few mins later Matthew went back with the big fish net and coaxed it out the gate.  Must admit it was kind of funny to watch him.

I HATE SNAKES!!!!!!!!!!

UGH - snakes scare me. The critters can sneak into the smallest crack.

We live in the country with a stream down one side of the lawn and a pond at the end. They love living here.

Over the years a few have come into the basement and the cats find them. SCREAM.

Yesterday Tom found an entire family living right outside of the laundry room door. When it comes to snakes, I am not a conservationist. I begged him to kill them all. He refused. I ran.

Now I am so afraid one will come inside and the cats will present their gift to me.

I remember when My friend Donnas Son brought her a Garden snake in his pants. He was so proud to give it to her!!!!! he was 4 then now he is 21.
Oh Annette,
Mr Tevia got out side today and I found him under the truck playing with a Geco. Plus he was wondering around the back yard. I asked him if he was trying to find his way to New York to be with Annie!!!!!

I'm with you!
I'm going to Home Depot tomorrow to see if I can find something to get rid of them or discourage them from hanging around here.
I HATE the creatures!!!!!!!!!

I may have to get a cat just for this.

Surprisingly, snakes do not scare me.  Most of the ones that are deadly are in a place where they can get fresh meat and that isn't around our houses unless we have mice or rats and you want a snake then to keep them killed out.  The snakes that I see a lot here are the little grass snakes and they are just harmless.  They do us a big service so I don't let the kids harrass them.  At the beginning of spring, I saw a rattler and was going to let it go but didn't want to have someone bit so I called animal control and they caught it and took it somewhere.  They even seent a guy out to craw around under the house to look for more and he found nothing.  He said because of all the rains, it may have floated out of the rock pit a few milies up stream from us.  But, he said they are usually hidden snacks and only come out at night.  Geeze.  It was pretty.

I normally can say I love all of God's creatures big and small BUT not so with snakes.  I'd take a mouse any day over the slithering beast!

I'll take a snake anyday over a spider.
When I was a kid I used to trade salamanders for baby snakes.  I remember one day bringing in a handful of baby garden snakes to show my Mom.  That was the last time I did that...yikes!

It is what it is.
If He brings you to it, He'll bring you through it...

I hate snakes!!!! When we were in N. Carolina babysitting,
one got in the house. I freaked & screamed & wore shoes
for the rest of the week. It was in the kitchen so at least it kept me me over eating.
